WOD: Can you give us a little background about the crew? How long have you been together/how did you meet?
Juan Cano y Pamela Castro: We met a few years ago in Dance Container Cancun which is the dance studio where we train. We realized we were a great team and started creating projects together and thought it was a good idea to become a duet. We've been competing together for six months.
WOD: What are you feeling going the Championships?
Juan Cano y Pamela Castro: We are very excited about living an experience like World of Dance and happy to have the opportunity of learning from unique dancers from all around the world.
WOD: What is your favorite part of competing in World of Dance?
Juan Cano y Pamela Castro: Our favorite part of competing in World Of Dance is being able to share our work with the rest of the world and getting inspired by other dancers.
WOD: What part of your dance, choreography, or performance are you most proud of?
Juan Cano y Pamela Castro: The part of our dance that we are most proud of is the way we connect while we are dancing and the good results we get in our choreographies even though we are very different dancers.
WOD: What exciting things will you be doing/focusing on in the next year?
Juan Cano y Pamela Castro: Next year, we will be focusing on training as much as we can. We want to learn as much as possible and hopefully work on many projects together.
WOD: Why do you think dance is important to the world?
Juan Cano y Pamela Castro: We think dance is important to the world because it is a way of self-expression that lets you be who you are and it gives happiness to a lot of people.
WOD: What’s your favorite part about being a crew?
Juan Cano y Pamela Castro: Our favorite part of being a duet is that we get to spend a lot of time together and we push each other. This is the reason we are now best friends.
