World of Dance asks BASSLINE About Their Journey to Championship Week
WOD: Can you give us a little background about the crew? How long have you been together and how did you meet?BASSLINE: BDC was founded in 2004, a lot of the dancers on the team have been dancing together for several years. This is a combination of dancers from 3 different teams (we have 8 teams at Bliss).WOD: What are you feeling going the Championships?BASSLINE:We are excited and determined to just do better than we did last year. Last year was our first time there, we placed 20th out of 22, our goal this year is to do better than 3rd to last. We love WOD, been competing with you guys for several years, the experience alone is a thrill.WOD: What is your favorite part of competing in World of Dance?BASSLINE: The Best part about competing is the feeling when we start on stage before the music starts and that feeling when we exit the stage after a strong performance. Our directors favorite feeling is watching us dance.WOD: What part of your dance, choreography, or performance are you most proud of?BASSLINE: We are proud that we were able to incorporate a little bit of stunting this year and how clean we've gotten.WOD: What exciting things will you be doing/focusing on in the next year?BASSLINE: We look forward to hopefully getting more exposure nationwide and traveling more as a team.WOD: Why do you think dance is important to the world?BASSLINE: Dance is universal ! Its a great way to express feelings and to escape certain daily realities. Its literally a healthy drug.WOD: What’s your favorite part about being a crew?BASSLINE: I think the best part of being a crew is how well we work together and how our director keeps the discipline so tight, its helps us stay focused and still have fun.WOD: Anything else?BASSLINE: We hope you enjoy our set this year, we feel its more creative and at a higher level of difficulty.(Image source).
