WOD: How did it feel when you found out you’d be on Season 3?
AE: When I found out that I made it onto Season 3 of World of Dance I jumped up and screamed at the top of my lungs! This was a goal of mine that I had set way back when Season 1 aired, and to finally make it was an amazing sensation.I literally couldn’t think about anything else for weeks, and I still remember the exact day I found out- my life has never been the same!
WOD: What style are you performing, and why?
AE: I’m performing contemporary because it is the style that I feel I can express myself the most through. Even though the first styles of dance that I tried were hip hop and breakdancing, I quickly found in my 4th year dancing that Contemporary was my thing and definitely my favorite. I connect to it on a spiritual level and the movement just feels so me!
WOD: How long have you been dancing, or dancing with your group?
AE: I’ve been dancing for 8 years and will never stop :)
WOD: Who inspires you?
AE: One of my biggest inspirations is Michael Dameski from Season 2. I find his movement quality so alluring, and he commits all of his energy into everything he does. I try to model my movement and work ethic after him because he is so passionate about dance. While filming Season 3, everyone said I reminded them of him which was such an honor!
WOD: What do you think your fans would want to know about you?
AE: Something I think my fans would want to know about me is that nothing that I have was handed to me. I’ve had to work hard for every single thing as a dancer and I hope that inspires them to always push for what they want. Especially being a male dancer, there are so many people out there who wanted to see me fail, but my love and passion for dance has always won and kept me going!
