Alt 98.7's The Big Adventure Recap
Earlier this month, Alt 98.7 brought an unforgettable event—The Big Adventure—to Orange County. The event featured a combo of cosplay, arcade games, larping, zombie shooting, comic-con, standup comedy, and music acts from many different genres, which created an unforgettable experience with something for everyone.https://www.facebook.com/bigadventurefest/videos/705941673117668/With stand-out comedy performances from Ron Funches, Maria Banford, Patton Oswalt, Jim Jefferies, Rhys Darby, and Emo Philips the daytime was filled with uncontrollable laughs.During the break the audience could enjoy any number of activities to keep us amused. Arcade game contests, cosplay, and a ton of comics, art, and toys. It was great to see entire families enjoy the event
The musical acts were life changing. The spectacle created by Party Thieves, Party Nails, Modest Mouse, Nitti Gritti, Bonnie X Clyde, Bro Safari, Phantogram, What So Not, Empire of the Sun, and Rusko was just icing on the cake to close out each day.The venue and organizers made sure there was plenty of great food and drinks; and the bathrooms were spotless. Such care was taken to make sure everyone’s needs were met and more. Alt 98.7 really knows how to throw a phenomenal event.
Perhaps the most last memory of the event was how the event was interactive. You cannot come to The Big Adventure and merely watch. You become part of the event. Many of the artists were walking the grounds and enjoying the event getting pictures with the Cosplay artists and playing video games along with us. Some even had a chance to sharpen up their light saber skills!
When The Big Adventure comes back next year make sure to get your tickets early. After such a hit this year, there is no way it will not sell out next year! In the meantime, get exclusive music and dance news only on WOD Magazine.
